Snuggles and tickles on mom and dad’s bed, the room filled with the most gorgeous morning light. Reading favorite stories. Mom and daughter baking cookies together while dad and son played together on the floor. Dancing together to favorite songs. A sweet and happy boy, grinning with the biggest smiles after kisses from his mama, and his spunky, independent big sister eager to help, show the way, and jump into all the fun! There was such a feeling of coziness and warmth in this precious family’s home, and it truly felt like the most perfect fall Saturday morning as I snapped photos of them enjoying each other and their time together during their lifestyle family session!
When Mandy contacted me to ask about a family photo session this fall I was thrilled; I photographed their son’s fresh 48 newborn session in February, and I couldn’t wait to work with their sweet family of four again (and to see how much their littles had changed)! But then, she asked if I would come and photograph them in their home, and I couldn’t say yes fast enough! It’s no secret how much I love the intimacy of in-home newborn lifestyle sessions, and photographing a family lifestyle session at home has long been high on my list of photography dreams! This session truly checked all the boxes for a gorgeous in-home session, too: perfect natural window light, a cozy and beautifully-decorated home, lots of fun family activities planned, and a loving family comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera as I captured their interactions!
