On those chilly autumn mornings when I’m snuggled up all warm and toasty in bed, it takes a lot more than a cozy sweatshirt and hot cup of coffee to motivate me to get out from under the covers! However, when the promise of a gorgeous sunrise session with the sweetest family awaits me, I’m not just willing to get up early, I’m excited!!!
As a photographer, nothing means more to me than when clients trust me to become their photographer for life. There is no greater privilege than being able to photograph them over the years as they grow and change. To be with them as they welcome new family members. To share a small part in creating and preserving those special family memories. It's like, in some small way, I become part of their family, which is truly the best feeling!
When it comes to this family — who really is part of my family! — I really have been lucky enough to photograph them from the beginning! I took Stephen and Aimée’s engagement photos back when becoming a full-time photographer was still a distant dream, captured their first son's first days in the hospital (and his birthday photos every year since!), and, most recently, took their first photos as a family of four at the hospital as they welcomed their most recent addition this past spring! As you’ll see in this beautiful autumn family session, it’s a true testament to the power of photos to freeze those moments and document just how much little ones change year after year!
