It was a misty summer morning, and the clouds enveloped the top of the tallest buildings in downtown Spartanburg, obscuring them from view. The quiet downtown streets were just starting to come to life in the early Saturday light, and the two sweetest puppy parents and Lily, their most precious beagle, strolled down alleyways and sidewalks as we stopped here and there to capture some sweet moments of their family of three. Although the morning was cloudy, there was so much light and joy — Lily had just completed her chemo treatments for her battle with lymphoma and was now cancer-free and in full remission!
Kristina is one of my dearest friends from our years together at Converse, and I have loved watching her relationship with Scott bloom over the last 8 years, from their first date to their wedding day and all the years since! Lily has been a part of their family for the last three years; this past March, she was diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma and began chemo treatments soon after. In July, she completed her last chemo treatment, and I was so thrilled to be able to celebrate her recovery with a family photo session with the three of them! Just watching Kristina and Scott interact with their sweet fur baby, it is so obvious how loved she is! And seriously… there really isn’t anything NOT to love about Lily! She is one of the most calm, gentle, and loving dogs I've ever met!
